Methodology

Last reviewed November 2, 2026 by C Poly

This page describes how the Hot Anime Girls ranking is researched, sourced and kept current. Every material claim on the main page traces back to one of the source categories below, and the editor behind it is C Poly, as the about page explains.

Source Hierarchy

The source hierarchy has four categories, and claims on this site rest on them from heaviest to lightest:

  1. Operator materials. The LuckyLove AI anime catalog with each character's age and opening scene, plus its billing page, terms and privacy policy, read at the date shown on the main page.
  2. Legislation and regulators. The text of California's SB 243 and the eSafety Commissioner's fact sheet on Australia's Age-Restricted Material Codes.
  3. Community rankings. Ranker's community vote of the most attractive anime girls and its list of the hottest female anime villains, always with the date I checked the places.
  4. Reference sources. Dictionary entries and character databases, used for fan terms such as waifu and for checking whether a series heroine is an adult in her story.

What Gets Checked Versus What Gets Judged

Facts that change fast, such as coin prices, Premium terms, catalog size and character ages, are checked against the operator's own pages at publication. The order of the AI top six is different, because it rests on my own reading of how strong each opening scene is, and the main page labels it as a judgment call rather than a measurement.

Chats beyond the opening scene are not scored on this site. A reply count, a memory test or a coin tally would need real sessions, and none of those numbers will appear here until such a test has actually been run.

How the Fan Ranking Is Built

The fan ranking takes Ranker's live order and keeps only heroines who are clearly adults in their stories. Places therefore have gaps, and each one carries the date of the check, since community votes move as new votes come in.

Where a story never states an exact age, a heroine stays only if her role makes her adulthood plain, as with Makima's senior government post or Albedo's rank in Overlord. Each heroine is then matched with the closest AI character by archetype.

Freshness and Revision Cadence

The main page is rechecked whenever the LuckyLove AI catalog adds or removes a character, and the last full check covered all 18 characters on November 2, 2026. Prices and policies are rechecked when the billing page, terms or privacy policy change. When a page is updated, its dateModified value moves forward, while datePublished never changes, so the record of first publication survives. Substantive fixes are also logged on the editorial policy page.

What Does Not Happen Here

Four things never happen here, so readers know what this site does not do:

  1. No invented test data. No reply counts, memory results or coin totals appear without a real session behind them.
  2. No characters of uncertain age. Heroines who are not clearly adults in their stories are left out, however high they rank.
  3. No pictures of catalog characters. Illustrations on the site are generic brand art of adult women, not portraits of the AI characters or the series heroines.
  4. No borrowed reviews. Other review sites are not used as sources.

The 18+ rules behind the adults-only line are on the age verification page. The legal side of the site sits in the privacy policy, the terms of service and the 2257 statement.
