18 U.S.C. § 2257 Statement

Last reviewed November 2, 2026 by C Poly

This is a short compliance statement explaining why federal record-keeping duties do not apply to Hot Anime Girls. The site is editorial and publishes text only.

What § 2257 Requires

Section 2257 of Title 18 of the United States Code, together with 28 C.F.R. Part 75, sets record-keeping and labeling duties for producers of certain visual depictions of actual sexually explicit conduct. Producers covered by the statute must keep records showing that every performer was at least 18 at the time of production and must display a notice naming the custodian of records.

Why It Does Not Apply Here

Hot Anime Girls does not produce or host visual depictions of sexually explicit conduct. The site publishes written coverage and a few generic illustrations of fictional adult women, as the about and methodology pages describe, so nothing on it meets the statutory definition of material subject to § 2257 record-keeping.

Third-Party Services Named on This Site

The Hot Anime Girls ranking names LuckyLove AI and its anime characters without linking to them. LuckyLove AI and any other service named here are independent third parties responsible for their own compliance under US federal law and the law of the places where they operate.

Voluntary Adult Policy

Apart from § 2257, the site limits access to adults through an 18+ self-certification gate on the first visit. How the gate works is explained on the age verification page, and the terms of service and privacy policy set out the rest of the reader agreement.

Amendment History
